This is a 720p HD panel, not 4K, despite the QLED-adjacent name. "Hi-QLED" refers to Hisense's quantum-dot color layer, which produces richer, more accurate color than a standard LED panel at this price. It says nothing about resolution. At 32 inches viewed from a normal distance, most people won't miss 4K anyway. This specific listing runs Hisense's VIDAA smart TV platform, not Roku. Roku is the OS on the closely related 32QD4HSR model that most published reviews of this panel actually cover; the Hi-QLED color tech and panel tier carry over, only the interface changes. The spec sheet includes DTS Virtual:X sound and AirPlay and HomeKit compatibility alongside Alexa, an unusual feature at this price for anyone in an Apple household. This is a bedroom, kitchen, or dorm TV, not a living-room upgrade. For $117.99 with quantum-dot color and Apple ecosystem support, it undercuts most 32" smart TVs that skip both.

Which one should you actually buy?

Pick based on the room, not the discount percentage. If you need a real living-room 4K TV and don't need mini-LED-level contrast for a dark home theater setup, the Toshiba at $269.99 is one of the stronger entry points into legitimate 4K under $300 right now. If you need a cheap, capable second TV for a bedroom, kitchen, or dorm and don't care about 4K, the Hisense at $117.99 is hard to beat, especially if AirPlay or HomeKit matters to you. The one mistake here is buying the Hisense expecting a 4K living-room set instead of the budget secondary TV it actually is.
